The aim of this website is to locate, identify and document Warplanes from the Second World War preserved in Venezuela.  Many contributors have assisted in the hunt for these aircraft to provide and update the data on this website.  Photos are as credited.  Any errors found here are by the author, and any additions, corrections or amendments to this list of Warplane Survivors of the Second World War in Venezuela would be most welcome and may be e-mailed to the author at hskaarup@rogers.com.

Museo Aeronáutico de Maracay (Aeronautics Museum of Maracay), Maracay Air Force Base

The Venezuelan Air Force's Museo Aeronáutico de Maracay (Aeronautics Museum of Maracay) is located at the installations of the former Aeropuerto Nacional Florencio Gómez (the first airport in Maracay adjacent to the Venezuelan Air Force officer graduation school, and the "Cradle of Venezuelan Military Aviation" in the City of Maracay, Estado Aragua, Venezuela.

Douglas C-47 Skytrain, USAAF (Serial No. 42-92571), delivered 22 Jan 1944.  Royal Air Force (Serial No. KG377), then to Silver City AW as G-AJAV, General Electric as N19E, Radio Corp of America as N40G, Orinoco Mining as YV-P-EPO, RG Gruber as YV-T-RTC. Preserved at the Museo Aeronáutico Fuerza Aerea Venezolana (FAV).

Republic P-47D-30-RA Thunderbolt (Serial No. 44-32809), c/n 399-53770. Venezuelan Air Force (Serial No. 10B36), Museo Aeronáutico de Maracay (Aeronautics Museum of Maracay).  Built at Evansville, Indiana, this Thunderbolt, later designated as an F-47, was delivered to the Venezuela and taken on strength with the Fuerza Aerea Venezolana on 5 April 1949, flying with Escuadron de Cas C-36 "Los Diablos".
