Rotary Wing training under the Future Aircrew Training program will use the Airbus H135, known as the CT-153 Juno in RCAF service. Future rotary wing pilots will train on this advanced helicopter at Southport, near Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The CT-153 is named for Juno Beach, where thousands of Canadian military members landed on 6 June 1944, as part of Operation Overlord. Nearly every RCAF squadron in the United Kingdom supported ‘D-Day’ in some way. (RCAF)
